Cold Days – Dresden Files Book 14: In yet another entertaining urban fantasy, which mixes Apocalyptic dangers with sly humorous humour. Butcher is consistently upping the stakes for the wizard Harry Dresden, appearing in his 14th novel, following the 2011’s Ghost Story.
The fact that he was killed hasn’t reduced the Chicago PI who currently plays the role of his own Winter Knight. In this capacity, Dresden operates as a hitman for Mab Mab, the queen of the air and the dark, which is not allowed to kill mortals.
In addition, his lordship is dangerous and unpredictable; however, Dresden is soon battling against new supernatural enemies. Not least, the Redcap dyes his clothes with the blood of those who cross his way.
However, the most significant risk is the result of Dresden’s new mission from Mab, the murder of Mab’s daughter, Maeve.
