The protagonist is shown working at the ER during the night shift, where a man who is seriously ill disrupts the regular stream of patients. She considers him to have a viral brain infection, which she wanted to prescribe. Still, he disappears as mysteriously as he appears.
The actors’ conflicts grow deeper when another patient with the same symptoms is admitted to the hospital. Toby’s role as an epidemiologist causes her to research the infection, making her very sure there is something sinister afoot.
As she progresses deeper, she can find hints of evil in a way that reveals that the fatal virus may not be what it seems.
Toby sees herself desperately trying to provide her patients a chance at life and her own life. As she gets closer to the truth, she spots the danger and realizes there is more at risk in her life than she ever imagined.

I spent about 6-8 hours watching Life Support, and it was tough to let go of the featured medical drama.
