The Silent Girl by Tess Gerritsen: My honest thoughts on the book’s plot, characters, and overall impact.
Boston medical detective Jane Rizzoli investigates a crime in The Silent Girl by Tess Gerritsen by a severed hand in Chinatown and arrives at the morgue to examine the body of a decapitated red-haired woman.
Here, two strands of non-human silver hair represent the first clue AS far as forensic evidence is concerned.
This proves to be the work of a repeat offender. After consulting the database, Rizzoli and medical examiner, Maura Isles find a connection to a mass murder that occurred nineteen years ago in a restaurant in Chinatown. Some warrior, the last man alive after one bloodthirsty campaign, is now pursued by a relentless evil.
As Rizzoli and Isles investigate further, they come across a case connected to an old Chinese legend, which they realize is alive. This forces them to outwit an opponent with the knowledge of old tricks and a deadly sword.
